Coyotes Overdosing in Central Park & Robin Williams

NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts honored actor Billy Crystal (BFA ’70) with the Steuben Big Apple award at its annual “The Face of Tisch” gala.  Chance Spiessbach of Chance TV discussed coyotes overdosing in central park on the red carpet with Robin Williams the star of Good Morning Vietnam, Disney’s Alladin and Good Will Hunting for which he received the Oscar.  He has also won two Emmy Awards, four Golden Globes, two Screen Actors Guild Awards and five Grammy Awards.

Robin Williams and Whoopi Goldberg, long-time friends of Crystal, shared their love for their lifetime friend. “I want to say thank you so much to Billy Crystal; he’s always been my friend,” Robin said. “No, he isn’t just a friend, he’s my conscience. He’s always the one telling me not to do the last two jokes.” ”There is this one thing you have to know about Billy,” Whoopi said. “You see, he’s very easygoing, he laughs and jokes. But you don’t want to piss him off. He turns into the Hulk.”

Mr Crystal, the eight-time Academy Award host and star of classic films such as “When Harry Met Sally” and “City Slickers”  had some confessions “I was a lousy student”. “I have so many overdue library books. If you knew, you wouldn’t be giving me this award.” “This has been an extraordinary evening,” he said. “I had no idea what to expect — most moving and wonderful night.” “NYU President John Sexton told WSN he is “an enormous fan of Billy.””He is a great star in my and NYU’s world,” Sexton said. “It’s great to have him here. He is one of Tisch’s crown jewels.”

The Ultimate Party- Molly Sims, Franck Duboeuf and Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais

Wine from Chance TV on Vimeo.

Chance Spiessbach of Chance TV was on the scene to capture the dazzling display of aerial acrobatics, as the first bottles of Georges Duboeuf 2010 Beaujolais Nouveau were delivered into the hands of Sports Illustrated supermodel and star of Vegas tv show, Molly Sims and Franck Duboeuf for the official uncorking of this festive red wine on November 18 at New York City’s new club, District 36.

The wine’s dramatic high wire arrival was part of Georges Duboeuf‘s nationwide Nouveau Cirque celebration, featuring circus theme parties with jugglers, acrobats and other artistic performances. According to French law, Beaujolais Nouveau is released at one minute past midnight on the third Thursday of November. This decades-old tradition is celebrated worldwide with creative events, heralding the wine’s arrival. Beaujolais Nouveau is made from hand-harvested Gamay grapes and bottled six weeks after harvest. Georges Duboeuf, the number one French wine brand in the U.S., is known for throwing the largest and most creative Nouveau celebrations, and this year was no exception.

“This year we celebrate Nouveau Cirque parties in a contemporary circus spirit to capture the excitement of Nouveau and the limitless possibilities for its enjoyment,” said Franck Duboeuf, co-proprietor of Les Vins Georges Duboeuf. “Beaujolais Nouveau is a youthful wine with a fresh vibe. It is an explosion of flavor on the palate with bright red fruits and rich, floral aromas. It is sure to be a crowd pleaser!”   Kevin Zraly author of the best selling wine book of all time , “Windows on the World” as well as beginning his 34th year of teaching his Windows on the World Wine School.

In New York, Molly Sims, whose outfit was coordinated by style guru,  Derek Warburton (Derek Fabulous), uncorked the wine and toasted the crowd of 100 invited top chefs, retailers, wine, food and lifestyle writers.  Guests dined on a circus-themed menu by celebrity chef, Marc Murphy – a judge on Food Network’s “Chopped” – and owner of Landmarc restaurants and Benchmarc Events. Peter Deutsch, chief executive officer of W.J. Deutsch & Sons, the exclusive U.S. importer for Les Vins Georges Duboeuf, noted that Duboeuf Nouveau parties were taking place in almost every state from coast to coast to capture the excitement of the wine’s release, starting from midnight uncorkings in Boston and Savannah and ending with a “Nu Beau” block party in San Diego’s historic Gas Lamp Quarter for more than 2,000 people.

Beaujolais Nouveau is the perfect wine for a party and pairs nicely with a variety of cuisine, from burgers to holiday turkey. This versatile wine is best consumed slightly chilled. At $10-11 a bottle, it is a great value, ideal for serving at holiday get-togethers and social events. For ideas on throwing a Beaujolais Nouveau party at home, visit www.duboeufnouveau.com

Devorah Rose – today’s Renaissance Woman

Chance TV and Devorah discuss why no one can fill her shoes (my opinion).

Chance Spiessbach’s friend Devorah Rose met backstage at  Gen Art Resurrection  at Good Units night club in the Hudson Hotel. Models, actors, designers, celebrities were everywhere.  But, is wouldn’t be a party without Devorah.   Chance TV and Devorah discussed how she is carry on the tradition of the successful and powerful women in her family.  Originally hailing from Venezuela, Devorah Rose is a girl who entered kindergarten in the United States not knowing a word of English yet received a masters degrees from an Ivy League university in the study and writing of English-language literature.
At an early age, she earned the opportunity to lead Social Life Magazine as Editor-in-Chief. She worked tirelessly to improve Social Life, spearheading a redesign that has been described as “classic,” “insightful,” and “provocative.” During her young career, Devorah has worked with cover-stars including Kim Kardashian, Kellan Lutz, Lydia Hearst, Ciara, Rachel Hunter, Whitney Port, Alexandra Richards, and Dylan Lauren, to name a few.

In addition to her work at Social Life, Devorah has gained notoriety for her appearances on television shows such as The Real Housewives of New York City, NYC Prep, The Fashionista Diaries, and MTV’s MADE. Now, with the arrival of the CW’s High Society, Devorah looks forward to continuing her work across all forms of media – but these are just some of her many American Dreams. Let’s not forget she modeled for many years and with her face can go back anytime.  She is what makes NY the only place to be.
