Swizz Beatz and Chance TV discuss being famous and giving back to the community.

The fabulous Carlton Hotel in NYC was filled with star studded fashionista’s who came out to support “Fashion for a Cause,” Courtney Dawson’s incredible fashion fundraiser to raise money for ‘The Dawson Scleroderma Foundation.’ Courtney was diagnosed with the life threatening disease 3 1/2 years ago. Famed designer David Meister premiered his incredible Hollywood Fashion Spring 2011 collection while Ramona Singer showcased her Home Shopping Network Roman Singer Collection on the models. Bravo filmed the whole event for The Real Housewives of New York.

DJ Runna and Swizz Beatz, the famous music producer and husband of Alicia Keys showed support by providing the incredible runway music. Swizz Beats also hosted the evening and shocked everyone later with a surprise set. Chance Spiessbach of Chance TV was there to cover the red carpet, all the backstage madness and interview all the models, celebrities, actors, actresses, rappers and stars.

Not only did Ramona make an appearance on the runway but special guest Supermodel Joslyn Pennywell from America’s Next Top Model did as well. Joslyn is going to be a spokesperson for the foundation.

Front row attendees were Alex McCord and Simon van Kempen, Designer Richie Rich, Malik So-Chic, Sonja Morgan, Jared Evan, Luann de Lesepps, and countless others. Special recognition went to celebrity fashion stylist Lauren Rae Levy and event organizer Lisa Singer for her support as well.

Devorah Rose – today’s Renaissance Woman

Chance Spiessbach’s friend Devorah Rose met backstage at  Gen Art Resurrection  at Good Units night club in the Hudson Hotel. Models, actors, designers, celebrities were everywhere.  But, is wouldn’t be a party without Devorah.   Chance TV and Devorah discussed how she is carry on the tradition of the successful and powerful women in her family.  Originally hailing from Venezuela, Devorah Rose is a girl who entered kindergarten in the United States not knowing a word of English yet received a masters degrees from an Ivy League university in the study and writing of English-language literature.
At an early age, she earned the opportunity to lead Social Life Magazine as Editor-in-Chief. She worked tirelessly to improve Social Life, spearheading a redesign that has been described as “classic,” “insightful,” and “provocative.” During her young career, Devorah has worked with cover-stars including Kim Kardashian, Kellan Lutz, Lydia Hearst, Ciara, Rachel Hunter, Whitney Port, Alexandra Richards, and Dylan Lauren, to name a few.

In addition to her work at Social Life, Devorah has gained notoriety for her appearances on television shows such as The Real Housewives of New York City, NYC Prep, The Fashionista Diaries, and MTV’s MADE. Now, with the arrival of the CW’s High Society, Devorah looks forward to continuing her work across all forms of media – but these are just some of her many American Dreams. Let’s not forget she modeled for many years and with her face can go back anytime.  She is what makes NY the only place to be.

Chance Spiessbach of Chance TV caught up with multiple Oscar nominated Edward Norton to discuss his new charity Crowdrise.  We cover everything from acting at 6 to being avoiding being attacked by buffalo while training with Maasai warriors for the NYC marathon.  Can you believe he and Brad Pitt nailed the Penis Song in one take?  He is a gentleman, a scholar, a ridiculously talented actor and one cool guy.  Check him out.

Edward Harrison Norton is an American film actor, screenwriter and director. In 1996, his supporting role in the courtroom drama Primal Fear garnered him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Two years later, his lead role as a reformed white power skinhead in American History X earned a nomination for Academy Award for Best Actor. His other films include period dramas such as Kingdom of Heaven (2005), The Illusionist (2006), and The Painted Veil (2006); and other notable films such as Rounders (1998), Fight Club (1999), 25th Hour (2002), Red Dragon (2002), and The Incredible Hulk (2008).

In addition to acting, Norton is also a writer and director. He made his directorial debut with the film Keeping the Faith (2000) and is slated to direct the film adaptation of the novel Motherless Brooklyn. Norton did uncredited work on the scripts for The Score, Frida, and The Incredible Hulk.

In his private life, Norton is an environmental and social activist. He is a member of the board of trustees of Enterprise Community Partners, a non-profit organization for developing affordable housing, founded by his grandfather, James Rouse. Norton is president of the American branch of the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust.[2] He ran in the 2009 New York City Marathon to raise money for the Trust. He also raises money for charity through Crowdrise, a social networking community for volunteers and a micro-donations fundraising platform. In July 2010, Norton was designated as the United Nations Goodwill Ambassador for Biodiversity by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.[5]

At Ian Gerard’s Gen Art Resurrection everyone showed up to support the cause. Keri Iverson of the King Collective,  Derek Fabulous, Richie Rich countless socialites and models.  Chance Spiessbach of Chance TV spent some time with the infamous Richie Rich and D Fab discussing skittles fights in limos, stolen handbags and how Atlantic City will never be the same after their weekend their with Perez Hilton and J- Wow from The Jersey Shore.

Richie Rich was born in California as Richard J. Eichhorn. He was an avid ice skater, often proclaiming his desire to go to the Olympics.  In the mid 1990s, Rich was a staple on the New York City club kid scene, and made a cameo appearance in James St. James‘s club kid film Party Monster. Richie Rich was also featured as one of the club kids on the Jane Whitney Show where G.G. Allin was the main guest, and club kids were shown as pillars of independent, non violent free thought.

He is co-founder of the now defunct fashion label known as Heatherette (together with Traver Rains ). Richie is released an album called “Celebutante” on October 21, 2008 on record label Defend Music. The album is a compilation of songs including tracks from Lily Allen, Mya, Scissor Sisters, Blondie, and one from Richie himself, also titled “Celebutante.”

Richie signed on with The King Collective to produce a new line called Pop Luxe. The collection was one of the first to be shown at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week At Lincoln Center and featured Ellen DeGeneres.  In November 2010, Richie produced a limited edition t-shirt to benefit Harvey Milk Foundation.

Lifestyle Guru Derek Warburton has been a fashionista all his life. Derek attended New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology where he developed his keen fashion sense and honed his talent for styling. As a fashion editor, correspondent, stylist, and motivational speaker, Derek applies the philosophy “Help, Teach, Inspire, Love and Have Fun” to all areas of this life.Derek is an international stylist, dressing many transcontinental travelers from UK to Italy, and was known as the “Man About Town” in Milan.  As one of the city’s top stylists, he styled supermodel Miranda Kerr, Alek Wek, Sean Paul, and Beyonce for the House of Dereon Campaign.

Derek has been featured in The New York Times, InTouch, Boho, Fashion News Live and “The Insider” and can be seen on the third season of “The Real Housewives of New York City.”

Derek is currently focusing on his “How to Be Derek Fabulous” workshop at Bottomless Closet NYC, in which he teaches disadvantaged local women how to dress appropriately for work. Going above and beyond for the clients, Derek works individually with each woman at the seminar to help select garments and listen to her fashion and beauty concerns. Aside from his work with Bottomless Closet NYC, Derek also supports Housing Works, hosting the opening of their Hell’s Kitchen boutique and as a designer in their Design on a Dime Event.

John Crocco- Head Designer of Perry Ellis & Chance Spiessbach of Chance TV discuss his innovative sartorial fashion secrets and growing up in New Jersey.  We caught up backstage with Mr. Crocco at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center .  Get inside the mind of one of the great fashion designers who shapes the world of fashion.  Although continually surrounded by celebrities, supermodels, Hollywood actors and actresses he is extremely modest and down to earth.  Listen to him share his strategies for his stars on the runway.

Mr. Crocco was previously at  Philips-Van Heusen where he was a divisional merchandise manager responsible for the design, development and execution of a $90 million multi-classification men’s sportswear line. Prior to that position at Philips-Van Heusen, Crocco served as director of product development at J-Crew for men’s apparel, footwear and accessories.
