Boardwalk Empire star Paz de la Huerta

New York City International Private Interview:

Paz discusses Scorsese, being multilingual and acting since 5.

Chance Spiessbach of TV spent some time on the red carpet discussing being “born” to be an actress.  What it is like working with you lifetime idol Martin Scorsese who created your favorite movie “Taxi Driver.”  This model, celebrity, incredibly talented actress also speaks four languages.  She has a very successful modeling career. Yes you can have it all.   Paz stars as Lucy Danziger,  Nucky’s temperamental mistress and a former Ziegfeld Follies dancer.

Boardwalk Empire is an American television series from  HBO, set in Atlantic City, New Jersey, during the bootlegging Prohibition era. Starring Steve Buscemi, the show was adapted from a chapter about historical criminal kingpin Enoch “Nucky” Johnson in Nelson Johnson’s book, Boardwalk Empire: The Birth, High Times, and Corruption of Atlantic City, by Emmy Award-winning screenwriter and producer Terence Winter of The Sopranos.

As she captivates audiences on the little screen her movie, Paz’s most recent film, Enter the Void, left Sundance one of the most talked-about screenings at the festival. Directed by Gaspar Noé, the movie takes the viewer on an acid trip through the Tokyo underworld as Paz’s character goes to Japan to reunite with her drug-dealer brother, only to become a stripper.

The thing about Paz is that there’s not much difference between her onscreen intensity and her daily life. “Paz is Genghis Khan meets Marie Antoinette,” says her mother, Judith Bruce. Paz is not to be missed.
